Many people who first learn about LuminS Aesthetics & Wellness ask themselves, “do I really need to see a dermatologist?” You may also be asking yourself this question because you don’t think you have a serious enough condition, or you feel your skin and hair are healthy enough as it is, but none of that should keep you from getting your skin the care and attention it deserves! Not only does your skin protect you from dangers like UV rays and bacteria, but it is also one of the first features people notice when they see you.
For body parts that are this important to overall health, specialized care is required. That is where expert dermatologists like those found at LuminS Aesthetics & Wellness come in. Our dermatologists are specialists in treating issues related to the skin, nails, and hair. They are committed to helping you not only achieve healthier skin, but to feel more confident in how it looks and feels.
Acne occurs when the pores in your skin are blocked with oil, bacteria, and dead skin cells that clog your pores. These skin cells, sebum (oily, waxy matter secreted from your glands), dead skin, and hair clump together to plug pores, causing an infection and resulting in inflammation, or a pimple. Acne is not discriminatory, and for most people, pimples and acne start to appear during puberty and last into the early 20s, and in more severe cases, even well into adulthood.
Skin rejuvenation treatments are the ideal choice for patients seeking to reduce the effects of aging by restoring your skin’s youthful elasticity and brightness. Skin rejuvenation can also be used for therapeutic purposes to treat skin conditions such as rosacea, irregular pigmentation, broken capillaries, spider veins, freckles, or brown spots. For cosmetic enhancements, skin rejuvenation can reduce the signs of aging on the face, arms, and hands through a variety of treatment options.
Microneedling with Stem Cell & PRP
Microneedling is a minimally invasive facial treatment that encourages the natural rejuvenation and anti-aging processes of your skin while injecting serum to encourage collagen and elastin growth.
The advanced surgical device used ensures precise punctures with the necessary depth and speed needed to target collagen growth in specific areas of the face.
- Acne scars
- Age spots
- Large pores
- Minor scars
- Stretch marks
Microneedling is best used on those with healthy skin and no current acne. The tiny, sterile needles puncture the skin repeatedly, triggering a healing response. Patients may return to activities the next day. Redness is the most common side effect. Dryness, stinging, and tingling are also reported.
Results peak around 4-6 months, with the newly built collagen lasting for years. Most patients come back every few months for microneedling sessions.

Unwanted tattoos can have you feeling self-conscious, bummed out, and downright angry. Luckily, with today’s laser technologies, what was once permanent can now virtually disappear with fewer treatments, faster recovery time, and greater results than ever before.
How does it work?
Advanced laser technology delivers pulses of energy into the tattoo ink, breaking up the pigment into smaller molecules which are then absorbed by the body. The result is less unwanted pigmentation and smoother, clearer looking skin.
At our practice, we have different lasers, each designed to target specific ink colors.
What can I expect?
We perform laser tattoo removal on an outpatient basis in our office. Most patients tolerate the procedure comfortably, describing a light snapping sensation. For more sensitive patients or when doing work on large tattoos, a numbing cream may be used. Patients resume normal activities immediately after treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
Depending on the concentration, depth, and type of tattoo ink, the number of treatments needed will vary. On average, professionally done tattoos will take six to eight treatments, spaced four to six weeks apart. Amateur tattoos typically require three to four treatments. Vitamin B12 Shots
Many people suffer from B12 vitamin deficiency, especially with the growing popularity of veganism, vegetarianism, and other specialty diets and lifestyles. Others who may be more susceptible to vitamin B12 deficiency are patients diagnosed with Crohn’s disease or celiac disease, and those who have undergone intestinal procedures such as weight loss surgery.
Even though vitamin deficiency can go undetected, there are adverse effects if your body is not getting enough of the nutrition it needs to function at its best. In some cases, untreated vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to behavioral and health issues such as decreased brain function, depression, osteoporosis, and macular degeneration. One way to help combat the development of those conditions and fulfill your dietary needs is by supplementation.
At LuminS Aesthetics & Wellness, we understand that not everyone can meet their daily nutritional needs through food alone. Whether you are on a special diet or have poor absorption of nutrients, we are here to help.
